VPPlant starts cooperation with the National Institute of Public Health – National Institute of Hygiene

On August 31 2015 VPPlant has signed a letter of intent with National Institute of Public Health – National Institute of Hygiene. The subject of the agreement is cooperation of both Parties in order to carry out research and development of innovative technology. The goal of this project is to reduce the concentration of harmful chemical compounds which are the result of water purification processes in indoor swimming pools.

VPPlant is conducting a research project, co-funded by the National Centre for Research and Development to design and test run the Enabler DSR application, which aims to optimize energy consumption through control of energy-intensive processes in buildings equipped with BMS to shift momentary electricity demand. Among facilities optimized by VPPlant are indoor swimming pools, where to rationalize energy consumption we need to analyze processes of disinfection of water and air purification.

Therefore, VPPlant is preparing an application in competition aimed for small and medium enterprises organised by the National Centre for Research and Development. The subject of this Application is to develop a self-learning controller for swimming pool systems with function to optimize electricity and heat consumption and to estimate the potential of trihalomethanes (THMs) formation at indoor pools.

We are planning to develop and implement innovative product such as Intelligent Swimming Pool Controller, which will integrate technologies of different systems at indoor swimming pools while automating processes of removing harmful chemical substances from pool facilities. To succeed, we need to cooperate with the best experts not only in the field of energy but also in the field of public health, especially health safety of people staying inside indoor swimming pools. We take pride in achieving cooperation between our company and the National Institute of Public Health – National Institute of Hygiene – explains Grzegorz Nowczewski, CEO of VPPlant
