Spodek with intelligent energy management system from TAURON
In the International Congress Center and Spodek in Katowice there will be installed intelligent power management system, offered by TAURON as a part of pilot program. Both objects are supplied with electricity by TAURON.
The new technological solution will optimize the operation of energy-efficient air-conditioning and ventilation systems in these facilities, so that they operate in a more environment friendly way. The TAURON’s innovative product comes with an attractive sales offer of the electricity or gas fuel. Next year TAURON is going to make the smart energy management available for all interested business customers.
The system reduces power consumption without having to invest in any modern devices, which are characterized with a high energy class but also are expensive. For a company, which manage powerful facilities, this means that it can save both on media expense and on investment costs.
The heart of technology that optimizes energy-consuming processes is an innovative system that analyzes various data, e.g. power consumption, indoor and outdoor temperature, number of people in the building. Based on these and other variables the system determine operation mode of devices in real time. Thanks to that, efficiency of the ventilation and air conditioning is matched to prevailing conditions inside the facility. If the conditions change, the system configures a different operation plan. Thanks to advanced technology, the system will not only allow to keep comfortable air temperature or humidity inside but also reduce electricity consumption.
TAURON’s energy optimization service is based on a system developed in collaboration with a technology partner, Virtual Power Plant. This technology is based on the innovative method – Enabler DSR. The main advantage of an intelligent energy management system is the fact that it enables the implementation of environmentally friendly solutions.
The International Congress Center and Spodek is a conference and entertainment complex that hosts the most important entertainment and business events. Both facilities are visited by almost million people anually.
The International Congress Center and Spodek are managed by PTWP Event Center company, which has signed an agreement with TAURON for the implementation of technology that optimizes the work of energy-consuming devices in these facilities.
