On July 8th CEO of Virtual Power Plant (VPPlant) Grzegorz Nowaczewski participated in two panel discussions during the XII edition of the International Conference of New Energy User Friendly 2016 (NEUF2016). In his speeches he presented the idea of the Virtual Power Plant created by VPPlant and the positive impact that its implementation will have on the security of the energy system in Poland.
CEO of VPPlant also announced that the company has been granted funding by the National Centre for Research and Development to conduct R&D on oBEMS – an innovative product in the field of real-time energy management addressed to energy consumers in large volume buildings such as modern offices. Mr. Nowaczewski asked the CEOs of Polish energy groups to cooperate in this project.
This year, the participants of NEUF conference talked about local and national energy security, development programme for low-carbon economy in Poland based on Polish natural resources and technological potential. They also exchanged information about sample implementations of Polish technologies. The conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Environment, the Sobieski Institute and the Association of Polish Bands. The ceremony was opened by Minister of Energy Krzysztof Tchórzewski and Vice-Minister of Development Witold Słowik.
